Adaptive Contrast Enhancement Examples


These pages illustrate some adaptive contrast enhancement effects. All the examples are created by generating a mapping for the grey levels of each pixel from the histogram of the grey levels in a surrounding window. We use a 512x512 image of spring flowers. The images below give an overview: the original image (A) has been equalized (D), and some intermediate effects are shown (B and C).
